What they say about us

After my father died, my 89 year old mother was finding it increasingly difficult to cope alone, and was suffering from high levels of anxiety and loneliness, which was impacting her wellbeing and our family life.

She had been diagnosed with early stage dementia just before Dad died, and had begun to fall from time to time, so it was clear that she could not stay in the house alone.

We were very fortunate to have already been introduced to Kingdom Carers by the family of one of her past clients, so Bridget was the first person we thought of when Mum needed support. She stayed six nights a week providing companionship and support during the evenings and making sure Mum knew what she was doing in the mornings, as well as managing her medication. Mum was initially very resistant to having someone else living in the house, but the Bridget’s endless patience and calm, caring demeanour soon won Mum over, and she began introducing her to everyone as her friend.

As I don’t have any siblings, it made the world of difference to have someone so kind and professional sharing the responsibility of looking after Mum. It meant we could take breaks and go on holiday without worrying as Bridget always kept me informed of how she was doing. I would have no hesitation in recommending Kingdom Carers.

When our 98 year old dad fell and broke his arm last summer, we realised we could no longer give him all the care and support he would need in the future.

Registered partially sighted, his wish was always to remain in his familiar surroundings in his own home. His Christian faith is important to him so it was also vital that he could be supported with his spiritual needs

On recommendation, we contacted Kingdom Carers and Bridget immediately arranged for 24hr Live-In Carers.

Since that time, dad has received marvellous care, with Bridget always at hand to offer specialised support and advice.

Kingdom Carers was recommended to us by friends at our church and were so grateful for their swift response to our needs. The care that mum received in her last weeks from her live in carer was brilliant and took such a burden off our shoulders. The care was both physical and spiritual which was such a blessing to know that mum was well looked after in all aspects of her life. Along with the support offered to friends and family when visiting and via telephone it helped everyone through a very difficult period in our lives.

Kingdom Carers looked after my father in his final months and days. The team was professional, caring, friendly, knowledgeable and flexible, especially as his needs increased towards the end. It was wonderful too that they supported him with his daily spiritual discipline of Bible reading and prayer. We can highly recommend them!
